What a fun set to continue working on learning the parts of the skeletal system. Kids love labeling skeletons and they will love this fabulous task card set! This set is perfect for a quick review of the skeleton, something for a sub day, something for your Science Center, or just something for those early finishers.
So many uses for this great set, including Scoot (rotating stations), Scavenger Hunts, Morning work, Games, Bulletin boards, Homework, and Assessments. Use task cards with individuals, partners, small groups, and whole-group. Cards can be used with your document camera and projector.
This set, all about the Skeleton, includes 40 differentiated task cards:
- Vocabulary Identification Cards- These are numbered 1-16 and have coral backgrounds. The cards have multiple choice answers. The student will identify bones of the skeleton. Small illustrations are provided, as well as common names of bones to help with identification.
- Application Cards- These are numbered 17-24 and have turquoise backgrounds. The students will write short answers to questions. Arrows pointing to the bones are added to aid students.
- Application Cards – These are numbered 25-32 and have green backgrounds. Students will respond with short answers that may require research.
- Extension Cards- These are numbered 33-40 and have purple backgrounds. The students will be drawing data tables, drawing skeletons, or writing.
- Students answer sheets -These are provided in two sizes.
- An answer key is provided for cards 1-32. Sample student answers are provided for most of the extension cards. Of course, your answers on the extension cards may vary.
- Labeled drawings of the skeleton, the hand, and the foot are included.
- An ink-saving set of cards is provided without color for your convenience.
The set includes colorful backgrounds in four colors. The entire set is also provided in an ink-saving version. Answer sheets, in two formats, are included for student use, with a teacher answer key. For the extension tasks, sample answers are also given.
