Product Description
This bundle is the Skeletal System unit that I teach my 11th/12th grade Anatomy & Physiology class. The entire unit spans 19 days, covering the following major concepts: types of bones (long, short, wormian, etc.), axial vs. appendicular division of the skeleton, directional terms (ex. superior, lateral), anatomy of all 206 bones as well as notable landmarks of major bones, types of joints (diarthrosis, synarthrosis, amphiarthrosis), and movements at joints (ex. flexion, adduction). Within this bundle, I have included a detailed unit schedule, student notes, a labeling packet for students to fill out as we learn each bone and landmark, 4 home-made coloring worksheets for students to use in specific parts of the unit, 91 notecards for students to cut out and study from, a lab on the types of joints, 2 games of Simon Says to practice anatomical directional terms and movements at joints, a scavenger hunt for students to create to practice the anatomical directional terms (their favorite activity of the entire year!), and more! I have not included a PowerPoint, as mine is very personalized and only pictures (no words). If you would like to see a sample of my PowerPoint, please leave a comment in the Q&A section! I love this unit and my students do too! All of these resources were created by me and cannot be found anywhere else.
