Product Description
Here is a set of literacy and math materials all around the Halloween theme of Skeletons!
Emergent Reader (focus on prepositions)
behind, beside, next to, under, on top of, between, in front of...and sight words the, is, on, in.
**Teaching prepositions to young children can be so much fun and is important work in early childhood. These materials will help you work on the concepts of "where something is". It is an important skill and a goal for a lot of ell and slp students. Children need to understand these words so they can carry out instructions independently and this emergent reader was designed to help you teach your little ones this skill!

Large Classroom Skeleton: Copy, Laminate and Cut out....let your students "hide" the skeleton behind, beside, on top of, etc. different objects in the classroom. I like to do the "hiding of Mr. Bones" every morning before the kids come into the classroom.
It's a fun way to reinforce the spatial concepts through a fun daily activity!

Skeleton Pocket Chart Game:
Hiding the Skeleton behind some colored haunted houses and letting the children ask questions and look for him is a fun way to practice so many skills:
Asking questions
Taking Turns
Making guesses
**it is played the same way as the "little mouse, little mouse...are you in the (color word) house?" Directions are included if you need them!

Skeleton/Halloween Sorting Printable
Color, Cut and Glue the Halloween things

Skeleton Ten Frames Match Center Materials:
Ten Skeleton Ten Frame Cards with matching Skeleton Number Cards

Concepts:
Sight Words, Colors, Prepositions, Counting, Number Sense, Asking Questions, Taking Turns
