This story by Margery Cuyler is great for a quick themed day for skeletons! Start this unit off right with a pre-reading set of questions to set your students off brainstorming! Next included is a set of comprehension questions to complete after the story. Need a little math boost, students will group the pumpkins in sets of five to help with skip counting. There is also a cut and paste sequencing activity. To finish off the unit, students will pretend to create a new hiccup medicine! That activity includes writing and drawing. Enjoy! Good for first and second grade. Could be used as seatwork, homework, substitutes or just for fun!
