This is a fun and easy vocabulary assignment dealing with the US Constitution and the terms surrounding it. This assignment allows students to process vocabulary words in three ways: 1st) the student will copy a book definition of the word, 2nd) the student will put the book definition in their own words, 3rd) the student will choose 20 of the words and create and sketch a symbol or picture of the word. It is a three-column chart, which allows for an easy visual. This great as either an introduction to the vocab, or a review at the end of a unit, close to test time! In an easy graphic organizer layout, it would be great for homework or classwork. Great for a civics, politics, or US History class!
The included words are: Constitution, Bicameral, Confederation, Ratify, Amend, Articles of Confederation, Constitutional Convention, Great Compromise, 3/5ths Compromise, Electoral College, Federalists, Federalism, Anti-Federalists, Preamble, Legislative Branch, Executive Branch, Judicial Branch, Popular Sovereignty, Rule of Law, Separation of Powers, Checks and Balances, Expressed Powers, Reserved Powers, Concurrent Powers
