Every year I have my student make or design their own sketchbooks. Project preparation isn't always the most exciting part of an assignment, so I like my students to take ownership of this portion of art making from day one. Each class I teach is introduced to a different type of book making, binding, and decorating. This lesson takes a more sculptural approach to book making with the accordion sketchbook style.
This file includes:
-Accordion Sketchbook Lesson plan (including big idea, essential questions, objectives, national standards, supply list, and day to day how to)
-Accordion Sketchbook Introduction PowerPoint
-Accordion Sketchbook rubric
-Accordion Sketchbook step by step instructions
This is everything you need to plan and introduce this assignment. It's perfect for grades 5th to 12th and beyond.
