Product Description

This one-page chart illustrates the alignment of Angie Kratzer’s three free-response units with the skills outlined in the 2019 AP English Language & Composition Course and Exam Description.

All AP Lang skills are listed in the far-left column, and the three units, which are hyperlinked in case you need to refer to them, are in the top row. The cells within the body of the chart contain the lesson plans in which each skill appears in each unit. For example, skill RHS 1.A (Identify and describe components of the rhetorical situation: the exigence, audience, writer, purpose, context, and message.) can be found in lessons 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 21, and 23 of Rhetorical Analysis for Every Student. It is also taught in lessons 11 and 12 of Argumentation & Persuasion: A Complete Unit and lessons 1, 3, 4, and 5 of Read ‘emand Weave: The AP English Language Synthesis Question. Each skill is spelled out on each lesson plan.

This is a living document; because I update my resources frequently, this chart will change. Keep up with updates by joining my email list here.
