This resource includes a pre and post assessment. The document comes in a word document for easy editing. There is also a PDF version available in my store that has slightly better formatting.

These assessments cover the following skills:

* Adding six-digit numbers (2 questions per assessment)

*Subtracting six-digit numbers (2 questions per assessment)

*Rounding: tens, hundreds, thousands, ten-thousands (4 questions per assessment)

*Word forms: expanded, standard, word (1 problem each per assessment)

*Multiplying 3-digits by 1-digit (2 problems per assessment)

There are 13 problems on the pre-assessment and 13 problems on the post-assessment. The answer key is included.

This is perfect for the beginning and end of a unit, for small-groups or collecting RTI data.

I would suggest that this is used with fourth-graders, but it could also be used as for RTI with fifth-graders.

Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Use place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any place.
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
