Product Description
The student will create their own tribal markings. They will use repetition and pattern on a tracing of their own hand. They will write a story that goes will their tribal markings.
Skin decoration is common among men and women throughout the world. In Africa, there are many forms of skin deocration. Some are permanent, like tattoos. Others are temporary like body or face paint.
Among the Yoruba tribe, skin decorations indicates family. Special marks on a women show stages in her life. For special rituals, some Africans paint their bodies to look like animals, hoping to assume the animals power. There is a rubric at the end for them to fill out.
The student will be creating their own tribal markings. And creating a story that goes with those decorations.
