Kids learn through play. This is a fun activity to get the kids to practice and learn a rote skill, without realizing it. This activity is very engaging for boys! It is great to put out to also teach skip counting as part of your math centers to support your students' mental math. This activity would also be great in an outside classroom.
Each child gets one bean bag. When they toss the bean bag and it lands on a number. Then they record the number on their recording sheet.
Recording sheets and numbers for skip counting by 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 100
Print the numbers provided on card stock. Place them randomly on the floor and have students toss their bean bag onto the numbers from a predetermined location.
Print on paper or card stock and place in sheet protectors for durability.
Glue to Poster Boards so you can take them outside. This will keep them stable so you don’t have to worry about them blowing away in the wind!
