This is such a fun way for your students to practice their skip counting (and also part of 2nd grade core curriculum :)
You will find enough scroll attachments for your kiddos to reach 1,000.
~ Student will need…
Roller (pencil or toilet paper roll)
~ The first row is the only one that should be taped onto the roller.
~ Demonstrate for students how to glue onto the tab and simply lay the next row right on top at the tip and then just roll and you skip count.
~ They can construct the scroll as they go or put it all together first.
~ When they are finished they will have an awesome practice tool!
Tip: This can also be tuned into a math center. I have stickers with students name on each roller and they put it in a small tub if they need to work on it the next day. I also leave out a bunch of print outs of the scroll).
