This resource is a book study for the story, Sky Color. This is a growth mindset based story about a little girl that is challenged with the task of painting a mural with her class. Her part is the sky, but there is no more blue paint. Perplexed with what to do, she travels home on a long bus ride, notices the sunset and finally makes it home. Later that night she dreams of a magical sky that isn't blue. Her problem is solved! With a growth mindset of looking at things differently, in a new light, at a different time, she comes up with the perfect solution to her problem. The mural turns out beautiful and all the other students are stunned with her rendition of the sky. This resource includes all you need for a complete book study of this story, including vocabulary cards, story element/comprehension printables, and an enrichment project.
~Vocabulary Cards with real photos, that can be made into a class book for your library

~A Differentiated Enrichment Project: Students are given a photo card from one of two levels of card sets. They must come up with a new color to represent the photo/word. The first set of cards are basic nouns; the second set are emotions.
