The following is a 5-page (10 pages with the keys) multiple choice assessment on "Slaughterhouse Five" by Kurt Vonnegut. The quizzes are NOT just on lower level, comprehension questions like most multiple choice assessments on novels online. These questions ask higher level questions on Bloom's taxonomy and assess a student's analysis of allusions, character archetypes, indirect characterization, conflict (internal vs. external), connotation vs. denotation, figurative language, genre, idioms, inferences, irony, juxtaposition, motifs, plot, point of view, setting, sociocultural context, subtext, symbolism, themes, and title significance. The quizzes are broken down into 5 chunks of the chapters (1-2, 3-4, 5, 6-8, 9-10), and the quizzes each have 10 questions/quiz. Therefore, all of the quizzes total to 50 questions and can be used as a summative assessment or a test. Enjoy!
