Cooperative groups or individual lesson on slavery. Students read primary source slave passages printed on aged paper and match the slave passages to a primary source picture. Once all 5 passages are matched with the correct pictures, students answer questions to check for reading comprehension.
Requires critical thinking skills, promotes discussion and active participation among student groups.
