This bundle includes a 38 slide powerpoint with accompanying guided notes. These notes are concise allowing the students to focus on the lesson. They also have built in bellworks and focus questions. Please note they contain the content, but not quotes, supplemental information, etc. Basically, everything you need without dragging the kids down in detail.
The PowerPoint is loaded with cool animations, pictures, quotes, and interesting facts/vital content for students. It mainly focuses on slavery during the antebellum and Civil War periods, but also briefly looks at the slave trade and examples of contemporary slavery (brings home the relevance of the issue to the students!). It ends with the culmination of the 13th Amendment and the formal dissolution of slavery. Overall, students will get a holistic view of slavery and its progression through the centuries. Of course, de facto slavery continued on with sharecropping, which if you'd like, is in my Reconstruction ppt!
