Product Description

Slavery: Olaudah Equiano Webquest and Primary Source Questions

Students will learn about the amazing life of Olaudah Equiano by completing a great internet-based worksheet. The webquest uses a very student friendly website that covers the major events and abolitionist causes of Olaudah Equiano in easy to read text. Please check out the website by clicking on the link below:

Click here to view the website.

The following topics are covered in this webquest:

The early life and enslavement of Olaudah Equiano

The impact of slavery on Olaudah Equiano

Olaudah Equiano life as a free man

Abolitionist causes of Olaudah Equiano related to the slave trade and slavery

Personal experiences of Olaudah Equiano

The evils of the slave trade and slavery

The webquest contains 26 questions and is a great way to introduce or to have your students go into more depth on slavery and Olaudah Equiano. An answer sheet is included for the teacher. A QR code is included along with the traditional website link. You can do the webquest and primary source worksheet together as one document, but I have also divided it into two parts if you want to have your students work on it separately. The webquest and primary source worksheet will take most students at least 20 to 40 minutes to complete depending on age. Feel free to modify this activity if needed to fit the needs of your students.
