PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

We best learn through personal experiences, and through the experiences of others. This product includes sixteen (16) descriptions of aspects of slavery in America. They are supported by facts and images of slavery through twenty (20) slave narratives, historical news articles, and historical documents. There are activities aligned to the study, which includes research activities that provide students with a “choice.” The Preview contains the Table of Contents.
Sometimes it can be a challenge to stimulate students to become empathetic to others. I believe that when dialogue occurs regarding these readings and research activities, students will become more concerned about the needs of those who have various struggles in their lives today. Dialogue is crucial.
