Looking for an activity to use before the holiday break? This is a great one!
This activity provides 32 Christmas/Winter math story problems printed on Santas. Students will solve the problems and record their answers on the provided answer sheet. The fun part is "sliding" the Santas around the room and solving the problems.
Here are three sample problems:
1. Gloria brought 10 candy canes to the holiday party, and Ken brought 12. After Morgan ate 4 of the candy canes, how many were left?
2. Santa can see 25 children per hour. How many children would he be able to see in 6 hours?
3. Santa’s elves decided to go ice skating. If it costs $2 per hour to go skating, how many hours could Peter the Elf skate for if he has $18?
