Product Description
If you find yourself at a loss for how to introduce Hooke’s law, use either this lab or the one that follows-or both! This lab does not generate the most accurate results, but it does get students to understand the differences between spring constants (k values) when they realize that it took their Slinky 30 gram masses to hit the floor whereas it took another group only 18 gram masses. It’s a lab with many places where measurement errors can take place, and yet the results are actually much better than I ever thought they would be! This lab is yet another student favorite since it involves a toy!
