Students will complete the six sets of lightbulb questions in order to earn ornaments to put "on" the tree. When students finish the questions on one lightbulb, the bring it to the teacher to check. If it is correct, students receive one of the ornaments, put their name on it, and put it in a Christmas tree bag (I found mine at the Dollar Tree) and get another lightbulb. If students get it wrong, they go back to their seats and work out their mistakes, bringing the answers back to you once corrected. This process continues until the end of the activity. I pick 2 ornaments from each bag for some sort of a prize (snacks, extra credit, homework pass, etc.). The first three lightbulbs are finding slope between two points, bulbs 4 & 5 are slope from a graph, table, and equation, bulb 6 is application of slope.
