Each Puzzle has 4 pieces that list clues about a linear equation.
One Clue gives the linear equation written in Standard Form.
One Clue lists two points on the Linear Equation.
One Clue lists the x- and y-intercepts.
One Clue shows the graph of the Linear Equation.
There are 2 ways to play this game.
Students are given one Puzzle Piece
and are asked to find the students in the class who have the other 3 pieces of the Linear Equation Puzzle. A worksheet for each student is included in this activity.
Students can be placed in groups of 4 with each group given all 40 puzzle pieces.
Cooperatively the group will find all 4 puzzles pieces that match the linear equation and record the answers on a worksheet that is provided.
There are examples provided that teachers can review prior to the activity. The examples can also be printed and/or posted in the classroom for students to look at if they need help during the game.
An exit slip is provided for students when this activity is completed.
The exit slip summarizes all 4 puzzle pieces so that each student is reviewing all 4 clues.
