The story problem "Tanya's Earrings" is about a girl named Tanya that makes earrings out of colored wire. She uses the slope intercept form to determine how many pairs of earrings she will need to sell to buy a dress she wants.

A 10 minute animated lesson video and a second story problem video can be purchased separately.
13 pages of color worksheets that accompany the lesson and story problems are available for download for just 25 cents.

The Animated Algebra series of interactive educational films was created by animator/educator Karen Lithgow to teach Algebra I concepts in a FUN, LIVELY and INTERACTIVE format. All of the lessons and story problems are presented in unique and colorful settings with entertaining sound effects and visual elements. The math concepts are explained and demonstrated in a CLEAR FASHION and LOGICAL SEQUENCE so that the students can fully understand them.

The lessons align with the new common core standard for algebra.

IMPORTANT
On some people’s computers SWF files do not open simply.
The videos are made using SWF files.

When you try to open up the file, a pop up screen may say that your computer can’t open it. This is what you need to do.
Step 1 Download the SWF files from Teachers Pay Teachers
