Description

Use this colorful, engaging math wheel to introduce or review slope. Students can keep their wheels in their notebooks as a resource/study tool.

The sections of the Slope Wheel are:

1) What is slope?

2) Using a graph

3) Using 2 points

4) Slope Direction

5) Examples

Features of this easy-to-use slope resource:

  • Notes sections (notes are just suggestions, and you can alter them or use other examples that better fit your instruction if you’d like)
  • Two versions of the slope wheel: one with blank space to fill in the notes and one with all the notes filled in (but not the work for the example problems), in case you have students who are absent or need to have notes provided.
  • Guided practice or individual practice: 8 practice problems in the pattern around the circle. The problems have students find slope when given 2 points.
  • Coloring/doodling opportunity: students can color the background pattern, as well as the headings and doodle arrows
  • Key and sample with notes and examples in each wheel section
  • PPT file that's a blank wheel with background, so you can add text to make your own math wheels, if you’d like (for classroom use only - not commercial use)
