About this resource:
This document contains 2 walk around activities that reinforces the concepts of finding slopes & finding graphs of lines that are parallel or perpendicular to those slopes.
Walk-Around 1: Slope & Parallel Lines-
8 linear graphs are given, along with a recording sheet. Hang each of the 8 linear graphs around the room. Students must find the slope between two given points, then find a graph around the room that has a line that is PARALLEL to the one that they just found the slope for.
Walk-Around 2: Slope & Perpendicular Lines-
8 linear graphs are given, along with a recording sheet. Hang each of the 8 linear graphs around the room. Students must find the slope between two given points, then find a graph around the room that has a line that is PERPENDICULAR to the one that they just found the slope for.
Recording sheets have:
-two coordinates to use to find slope
-empty space to show work
-space for writing letter of matching linear graph
