Students pick a set of ordered pairs on any puzzle piece. Students will find the slope of the two points. Then, they will find the slope among the other pieces and match the edges of the pieces with the ordered pairs and the slope.
The pieces may be pre-cut for the students or the students may cut the pieces themselves and then assemble the puzzle.
The Preview File shows the answer key (version for pre-cut) and the student version (jumbled pieces).
The ordered pairs range in value from -15 to 15, so if slope is a new concept for students, they could also plot the ordered pairs and find the slope from a graph (graph not included).
This is a very engaging activity for students and can be used as individual practice or partner practice.
