This sequencing activity will provide your students with an engaging opportunity to calculate the slope (using the slope formula) between two points.
To complete the activity, students will start by finding the slope between the two points given on their student worksheet (I usually have them do this on a separate piece of paper). If done correctly, their answer will be at the top of a card on the next page. Students cut the card with the correct slope on it out and paste it into the next available spot on their worksheet (scissors and glue required) before finding the slope between the two points on this new card and continuing on with the activity. Learners are finished when they have pasted all cards onto their worksheet in the appropriate order.
This no-prep resource includes directions, a student worksheet, cards for students to paste in sequential order, and an answer key. ALL BUT 2 of the questions in this activity are shown in the preview – check it out to determine if this activity is at the appropriate level of rigor for your students!
