My students struggle with the basic concept of identifying visually positive slope, negative slope, zero slope and undefined slope. It would be great to use as a review tool for a unit test or for you state testing. Students will identify the 4 types of slope:
This set can be used as task cards or for a folder activity. There are 30 cards, which I recommend that you print on card stock and laminate.
If you wish to do so, there are a variety of ways to implement the creation of this folder activity. You can create the folders for early finishers, remediation, or review. The folders can be used as a station. The folders can also be done at home as part of a resource for a flipped classroom. Labels have been included for the folder sort. I’ve also included worksheets in case you wish to do these without folders as task cards or for a scavenger hunt.
I’ve included an exit ticket for this topic.
As a side note, you can also repurpose these as a set to define slope from a graph. I love being able to use one resource multiple ways!
Note: This file is large due to the amount of clip art used.
