This is an activity where students find the slope between two points first by using the formula and then by graphing the two points and finding the slope by using rise over run. The purpose is to help students see the connection between what the formula finds by visualizing the two points on a graph. Students are each given an ordered pair (included in the activity) and pair up with another student and then working together find the slope both ways. Directions and an example included. 7 pages including 32 ordered pairs.
