This is a great collaborative activity that gets students to discover slope of a line before learning about it! It gives a brief introduction to the key vocabulary terms (such as a linear equation). Students begin by filling out a table of values and plotting the points. Then, guided questions are provided to help the students look for a pattern in the table and on the graph. this leads them to plot the next point and discover what slope is. It also provides a challenge task for groups who may finish quickly.
