PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I have found that getting students to understand the concepts of slope and y-intercepts is difficult, but can be made easier for the teacher by having the students do more observation and problem-solving than by simply listening to the teacher lecture.

I wrote this worksheet so that my students could walk away with a basic idea of slope and y-intercept. One weakness of this worksheet is that each square is automatically one unit, which can throw students off if the grid counts by 2's or 5's or some other multiple.

I use this activity within cooperative groups, and I circulate to make sure they are getting the purpose of the questions.

The file includes spiral review problems.

This worksheet is intended to be written on directly.

Please download the pdf preview file first, so you can see exactly what's included; the product file is a word document, which you may personalize for your students.
