Included is a poster of the rhyme and clipart to be used in pocket charts for centers/groups. Also included is a page to fill in student names when creating groups. I used the objects in the poem to categorize my groups. For example, I had a kangaroo group, a sunflower group, a cow group, etc. The poem was also used to line up the students at the end of class. I recited the poem and paused for them to say their group title in response to the rhyme. The cute rhyming poem was a great way for them to remember their groups and practice rhyme. It also was an organized way to line up by not having all the students rushing up at the same time. It was a creative alternative to lining up by rows.
