Do your students need a self assessment in between or after each small group rotation? I have developed a self-assessment that you can edit to fit your classroom. My students struggled with 4 areas, "getting set, completion of work, individual role and quality work". This resource will allow your students to self assess themselves after a rotation. Students simply circle how they feel they have done or write their self assessment on the line given beside each category.
When I implemented this resource into my classroom, I made sure to give students about two minutes to self-assess everyday (at the end of every rotation). After awhile, students knew what each level meant so I was able to shorten the self assessment to about one minute. I saw so much improvement with this resource.
I also blew this document up, with our poster maker and put it in the classroom. We discussed each level, 1, 2, and 3. Students knew their expectations and competed with themselves to be at a 3 everyday.
