Product Description
We call ing, tion, and ture our “little friends” because they never try to fool us. They always sound the same. That’s why they provide teachers with a good way to introduce multi-syllable words. The vocabulary begins with 7 one-syllable words, then expands into 2 & 3 syllable words, and one with 4 syllables for good measure.

These flash cards use COLOR THE SOUNDS! to introduce our “little friends”. That is, the words are printed in an outline font. Students use color to fill them in. That way, the three target syllables can be isolated. We start by coloring each of our “little friends” a particular color, then add different colors to all the other syllables.

A PowerPoint presentation is included in the download. Use it as a living document – add more words, insert audio, change the fonts and animations. Let your students use their imaginations and skills, especially if they don’t do well with pens and markers.
