Use this interactive SmartBoard Notebook with an owl theme to have students log the books that they have read for Accelerated Reader (AR), Drop Everything And Read (DEAR), classroom reading, or any other reading assignment. Each slide has room for 24 students to enter their name, the name of the book, and the total number of chapters. (I have 20 set up on each slide.)
Each student will drag the little "thumbs up" icon to the last number of chapters in the book, their end point. Each day, they will move one of the blocks, that are color coded by day, to the chapters that they finished for that day. When they finish the book they can write their name on the line, or write the score they got on the AR test.
These slides can be printed and used for data collection or portfolios.
I have included a slide that can be printed and copied onto colored paper to celebrate each child's accomplishments. These books can be made into a bulletin board or hole punched and kept on a ring to keep record of each book that each student has read.
This can also be set up as a reading center for students.
Blank worksheets can be printed and each child can create a running record of their accomplishments.
Remember to save a blank page so you can continue to use in the future. (Just CLONE the page in the NoteBook)
I can customize this notebook to fit your classroom theme or other needs.
