Here is fun, interactive AND efficient way to keep track of the daily attendance of your students in your pirate themed classroom! This Smart Notebook file contains 7 pages of engaging attendance tracking for the school year. Use a different one each month or switch them up daily! Just "unlock" or "ungroup" the items and replace the text with your own students' names to personalize and reuse year to year! Need more students? No problem! Just clone as many as you need or use the characters included at the end of the file.
HOW TO USE: Have this file up and ready to go each morning so students can come in and tap their name to account for their presence as part of your morning routine. Be sure NOT to save the file after taking the daily attendance in order to keep the original settings!
Page 1: Who's Sailing with Us Today? -- Students move their pirate figure onto the pirate ship. All students who are present will be on the ship and all absent students will be left around the outer edge of the screen.
Page 2: Missing Treasure -- Students tap their personalized gold coin and it disappears! The left over coins indicate absent classmates.
Page 3: Message in a Bottle -- Students find and "float" their sunken bottle to the top of the screen by dragging it to the top of the water. Any bottles left on the ocean floor are absentees.
Page 4: Bye Bye Polly! -- Students tap the parrot on their corresponding pirate figure's shoulder and the parrot flies off of the screen. Anyone left with a parrot on their shoulder is missing.
Page 5: Growing Swords -- Students tap the sword that their corresponding pirate figure is holding and it grows large enough to hide their pirate character. Any pirates not "crossed out" by their sword are absent.
Page 6: Hats On Mateys! -- Students use the infinitely cloned pirate hat at the bottom of the screen to place on top of their corresponding pirate smiley face. Any smileys who are not crowned with their pirate hat are away!
Page 7: Pirate Characters -- All of the pirate figures used in this file to add to or make your own pages!
I hope you and your students enjoy this fun classroom management tool!
