UPDATED June 5, 2016.
Owls are included only on the Months of the Year Calendars.
This calendar includes all 12 months of the year.
This calendar includes so many Common Core essentials including:
Calendar Skills: placing the numbers in order, discovering patterns, reviewing days of the week, months of the year, filling in Today is ____. Completely interactive.
The front calendar page also includes a menu that leads to 11 fun, interactive activities.
DOTS on the calendar top for PATTERNS. Choose which colors you want and what pattern you want. Just slide the ones you want to use onto the calendar.
MORNING MESSAGE is a blank page to write in any important messages for the class.
The SHAPES page includes a spinner and a fun sorting activity. Several FUN shape songs are included to get your kids up and moving.
The COLORS page includes a spinner and a vortex sorting activity.
LETTERS includes the first 25 words of Fry's List of basic sight words. From there, use your own spelling words, letter of the week, word of the day or just use the letters to make your own words. Practice the alphabet. Use this page as a language arts literacy center to keep your students interactive.
The LETTERS page also links to the Fuzzy Phonics page, a video of the sounds of the alphabet using animal signs. Your students will learn the sounds of each letter while also learning how to sign 26 animals.
The DICE page has interactive die with either dots or numbers. Roll the die and make up the fact families to match.
There are tons of things you can do with a 100s CHART and this interactive chart makes it so easy! Just click and the number flips to a new color. Skip count by 2's, 5's, 10's. Set your count. Let a student flip and count to as high as he can and see if he can beat it the next day! Count backwards, find patterns.
The WEATHER GRAPH lets you graph the weather daily. Just slide over the colored rectangle. Now you can compare temperatures. Allow the students to ask questions using the graph. Which has the most? The least? None? What do you predict tomorrow will be?
The ATTENDANCE page lets you spell out PERFECT ATTENDANCE. My school does this and it is a huge incentive! Each time you spell out perfect attendance the class gets a party! It could be popcorn, extra recess, shoes off, a movie, bubbles... you name it! It's your party!
The MONEY page is available with both American and Canadian coins. Set the dollar/cent amount you want the student to show and they pull the money over and put it on the table.
The BASE TEN page is similar to the money page. You set the hundreds/tens/ones and the student pulls over the blocks.
There are also CALENDAR ICONS for birthday and relevant monthly events.
The MONTHS OF THE YEAR page lets you move months around on the screen for students to rearrange in the correct order.
Best of all you can use this calendar year after year. It will never expire. The dates will never be wrong as you go into the next school year. The perfect calendar for January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December!
