Interactive SmartBoard Activity includes Teacher’s Notes and 7 slides. Students will start by counting all the frogs on the slide. Then, one student will drag and drop each frog into the pond. Sometimes the frog will disappear into the pond, but sometimes the frog will jump back out of the pond. The student must continue dragging and counting all the frogs that disappear into the pond until no more frogs will go into the pond. All the students will then count the remaining frogs on the slide. Now, the students can practice the math fact families on their individual white boards or on scratch paper. This activity will prepare the students to do the 5 Printables, Math Fact FroggieTask Cards and the Froggie Math Fact Game Board.
Printables: One printable in which the students will practice the Math Fact Families. Also, there are two worksheets with addition word problems and two worksheets with two subtraction word problems. Students will need to show their work.
Froggie Math Fact Game Board with Directions: Students will take turns rolling a dice and answering both addition and subtraction problems. If the student answers correctly, he/she covers one of the circles with a marker. If the number is already covered the player doesn’t cover any number on this turn. If a player lands on a frog, they can cover any number of their choice. The winner is the player who covers the last number on the Froggie Math Fact game Board.
Froggie Math Fact Task Cards: Includes 24 cards that the teacher can easily laminate and cut up for a Math Center. Students will practice matching the correct addition or subtraction problems with their correct answers.
Please make sure that you have the latest version of the Smart notebook software (Version 11) in order to interact correctly with this activity.
