Need a quick, fun activity to use when practicing comprehension questions, articulation cards or any speech/language task? These seasonal, open ended smash mats are just the thing. If you don't believe me, give them a try!
Use any stimuli your student is working on and after a response is given, the student can "smash" a ball of play doh on a picture. You decide if you are going to provide each student with the ball of play doh or they will get their own. For added responses, I occasionally ask students to peel off a piece of play doh on their mat, produce another stimuli and put it in the jar.
There are 10 mats included in this resource for various times of the year - fall, halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, and two for spring. Print your mats on card stock and laminate or place in a heavy duty sheet protector. Roll a marble size piece of play doh for the student to "smash".
If you and your students enjoyed these mats, please consider leaving feedback. You will earn credits for future purchases and sellers like myself get to hear what you think!
