This is an easy and fun way to practice articulation with limited preparation. Great for small group play to motivate!
To prepare: Cut out rectangle on the outside line. Then cut on line on numbered side only from the left outside edge to the center line of rectangle. This will be where you fold over the word onto the bug to "smash" the bug.
To play: Roll two dice; add up the numbers. The sum of the two numbers will determine which word you will target in a word, phrase, or sentence. After you say the word, then fold down the number side to cover or "smash" the bug on the opposite side of the paper. Play continues until one person has "smashed" all of their bugs. Note: You will eventually need just one die when smaller numbers are left.
-This is great for home practice as well (super make and take).
-Target sounds include: /r, r blends, l, l blends, s, s blends, th, k, ch,sh, and one blank page for your own words/
