This sight word creation has been created to give students practice with sight words during the month of October and leading up to Halloween. This activity is easily differentiated and customizable for your classroom and students. This game can be played whole group, small group or used as a center activity! These cards would be great in your sensory bin or sensory table!
Print and laminate the cards. You can tape or glue the hammers to straws or leave them unattached. Place the sight word pumpkins into a pocket chart. Student reads the word. Find the hammer with the matching word. They can then place the hammer with the pumpkin and yell: “SMASH!”
