Do you want a smooth running classroom, where students take ownership of the room? Are you implementing "Leader in me?" and want your students to learn how to be leaders in the classroom and learn life skills? Then you need to implement "Smelly Sock Time"!
"Smelly Sock Time" is a specific time in my classroom for everyone to clean, organize, and get ready to go home. I do this the last 10 minutes of the day. Everyone has a job to do, so everyone should be moving around and completing their job. When they are finished they will gather their stuff to go home and meet at the classroom carpet for the final thought of the day. ***Some jobs will be completed throughout the day- so these students will just prep and get ready to go home.
I have included 32 jobs to choose from. See the preview for a complete list and a sample job chart.
