Brr! It’s cold outside and these rhythm files are just the thing to use to “warm-up” your students! You can use them for rhythm warm-ups, practice or as a game.
There are 6 interactive PDF’s included:
2 PDFs which practice 8-beat rhythm patterns, one in stick notation without note heads and one in stick notation with note heads.
4 PDFs which practice 8-beat rhythm patterns in 2/4 meter and 4/4 meter, with one in stick notation without note heads and one in stick notation with note heads for 2/4 meter and one in stick notation without note heads and one in stick notation with note heads for 4/4 meter.
Additionally there is a packet of worksheets included that can be used in conjunction with or independently from the PDF files. Included are worksheets that practice rhythm writing, composition, dictation, adding bar lines to practice 2/4 meter and a “mitten match” for composition and writing practice.
Rhythms included in this file are:
ta ti-ti (quarter note and barred eighth notes)
tika-tika /tiri-tiri (four sixteenth notes)
ti-tika/ ti-tiri (one eighth-two sixteenth notes)
tika-ti/tiri-ti (two sixteenths-one eighth)
tam-ti (dotted quarter-eighth)
ti-tam (eighth-dotted quarter)
