This Snakes and Ladders game is a great way to review the grammar ideas for the Spanish 2, Realidades 3B chapter! It's equally educational and fun, because students translate cards but never know when they'll climb a ladder or slide down a snake.
The first page of cards ask for students to say short phrases with both regular and irregular informal commands ("Run!" "Come here," etc.). A few cards include a direct object pronoun as well. The next page of cards ask students to say short phrases using the present progressive tense ("He is driving," etc.). Again, a few phrases also include DOPs. Feel free to edit those out if you'd like to focus on the more basic commands and present progressive phrases.
Just print out the cards, answer keys, and game board templates (I include some links to print the free online templates that I use in class), and your students are ready to play!
This editable Microsoft Word file contains four pages: The first two pages are the 42 playing cards (you can see them in the thumbnails), the third page is an answer key with simple Spanish instructions for students, and the last page gives detailed instructions for teachers. I hope your students enjoy this game as much as mine have!
