This activity is a great way to practice / reinforce the use of language and directions for ESL/ELL students.
Here is how I used this:
Print and laminate the cards for durability is you wish, cut them up and make a few for each pair of students or a group of four students.
Rules of the game:
Lay the cards face down on the table with each column side by side. Instruct the students to uncover each card and take turns finding the match to the card. A time limit of 1 minute is allowed before the next student must take over. If the student was able to find the matching card and it is correct, they yell ‘SNAP’ and keep the card s and if not they must leave the cards on the table. So on and so forth until all cards have been taken from the table and the winner is the person with the most cards in their hands.
Hope your students love this game as much as mine dO!
