This resource comes in two different levels. The first is an easier version where kids are asked to write all 5 word wall (snap words) in ABC order then write a complete sentence. The second version asks kids to write all words in ABC order then write a complete sentence for each word. Print back to back for second version. (PDF)
My kids use this in first grade, I use it as Monday Morning Work to familiarize them with their new words. There is an upper case alphabet on the worksheet to help the kids cross off as they go!
Some standards in first grade addressed:
Use end punctuation for sentences.
Use conventional spelling for words with common spelling patterns and for frequently occurring irregular words.
Spell untaught words phonetically, drawing on phonemic awareness and spelling conventions.
Print all upper- and lowercase letters.
