We are all well acquainted with overt and covert classroom dynamics, the daily collision of classroom personalities, and the significant influence of these realities on learning, engagement, and self-esteem.
This poem is for middle and high school students and speaks from the position of the quiet, cautious, keep-your-head-down student. The one who quietly gets by, moves along, and avoids social conflict. This one is quite contentedly unnoticed and would be relatively comfortable with the label "Invisible." I have known many and heard their stories. They see everything, think deeply, and are full of dreams. Here is a snapshot of one.
