Sneaky e Pack - A pack of 'Sneaky e' Activities (Silent e - cvce)

This pack contains activities to use when teaching ‘sneaky e’. They can be used for whole or small group.

Make a Word (Blending)
You can use either the recording sheet in color or black and white. The children will pull a card, and write it in the first box. They will then add an ‘ e’ to the word and write the new word in the box. In the last box they will illustrate the new word. They will do this with 4 different words.

What’s the Word? (Blending)
The children will color the pictures, cut them out, and glue them in the box above the word that names them. If you are using the color version, copy both sheets on white copy paper and follow the same directions above except the coloring.

Read it. Draw it. (Blending)
There are 3 different recording sheets using different cvce words. I have included this in color and black and white. The children will read the word and draw a picture to show the word.

Here Comes Sneaky e! (Segmenting)
The children will color the pictures and spell the word underneath it.

Watch out for that Sneaky e! (Segmenting)
The children will color the pictures and spell the word underneath it.

Sneaky e is on the Loose! (Segmenting)
You can either give the children 9 pictures to color and cut or put pictures in the middle of the table for them to pick 9. I like for my children at the same table to have different pictures for obvious reasons. They will glue each picture in a box and then spell the word underneath on the lines.

Where’s my Word? (Blending)
The children will read each word and draw a line to the picture that illustrates it.
