"Snoring Beauty" by Bruce Hale is a great read-aloud book! In this activity, students from grades 3 – 5 practice their listening skills and apply their understanding of the story to Common Core comprehension questions. Included are multiple- choice, short answer and some extended response items.
Usually, I read and enjoy the book with my class, either projecting it or gathering my little people close together. We discuss as we go and students often want to repeat the princess’ silly name with me. So fun!
I have also included an answer key for you.

This story has very funny language and names in it such as Queen Esophagus and King Gluteus. Explaining the double entendre to older students makes the book that much funnier!
