This winter resource covers many objectives. One objective is to review the concept of compound words and encourage students to look for a small word within a larger word. Another objective is to analyze and learn the meaning of the words by breaking apart compound words. Students will also have the opportunity to search for visual details in photos, just like illustrations in a story. This visual strategy will help them predict plus understand the snow compound words so they can express or write definitions.
Visual Word & Meaning Match-Up
