Need a quick, unique activity to work on speech sound production? Snow Fort Articulation is sure to please, with hide and seek, lift-the-flap fun! Students practice early articulation sounds while searching for kids having a snowball fight hidden under the blocks of a snow fort. This product includes:
* 24 black and white snow fort picture pages with 9 target pictures on each
* Targets include M, N, P, B, T, D, K and G in the initial, medial and final positions of words
* Easy assembly instructions:
Print the picture pages, put them in a stack and store them in one or two plastic sheet protectors. Cut out the snow blocks and tape them directly to the sheet protector, covering the target pictures. Change out picture pages by just moving a selected page to the top of the stack and placing the stack back inside the sheet protector. The snow blocks will be positioned to cover every sheet perfectly!
Hide the 3 snowball fight pictures under the flaps. Have the child search for the 3 hidden pictures by lifting one flap at a time, saying the target word under each flap 3 times. Once all 3 pictures are found, hide them again!
****For best results, be sure to tape the snow blocks so they don't overlap each other at all. You may need to off-set them slightly from the ones on the picture pages, but no worries, they will still cover the target pictures perfectly! They need to move freely for the hide and seek game to work effectively.
The snow fort picture pages can also be used for print-and-go activities:
Say and Cover: Cover each picture with a plastic ice block, winter-themed eraser, or bingo chip.
Paint or Color: Color each picture using dot paints or crayons
They are also great for sending along for home practice.
